About the role

About us

Citizens Advice has been operating in Denbighshire since 1949. Citizens Advice Denbighshire came into existence in September 2005 after merging the then existing services in the North and South of the County.

We are a busy service operating throughout Denbighshire with 2 main offices. Our premises are in Rhyl and Denbigh where staff are based, we also operate in-person triage advice services at these sites and at Outreach locations and events across the County.

The role

We are seeking one full-time Generalist Adviser to deliver a dedicated, person-centred advice and income maximisation service for unpaid carers across Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. The adviser will provide practical support with benefits and wider generalist issues, help carers address immediate financial pressures, and connect them with appropriate specialist and wellbeing services.

The post holder will be employed by Citizens Advice Denbighshire and will work flexibly from Citizens Advice offices and community venues across Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. Regular travel throughout all three local authority areas is an essential part of the role. The adviser will organise and deliver outreach activity, develop local referral relationships and provide advice through face-to-face, telephone and digital appointments, with some opportunity for home working where service needs allow.
