About the role

Join the Team Making a Difference in Leeds!

Do you believe in social justice, equality, and making a real difference in people’s lives? Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre helps over 30,000 people a year with welfare benefits, debt, housing, energy issues, and more. We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our dedicated team of advice professionals.

As Advice Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring our advice services are delivered to high quality standards with a strong focus on Welfare Benefits and Energy and client care. You will lead, motivate and support staff to deliver quality services, helping the team to achieve agreed targets and objectives. You will support and provide cover for Team Leaders of other subject areas, and will also work in our City Centre Hub supporting advice through face to face, telephone and digital channels.

Experience of people management is desirable but this role may also appeal to an experienced Energy and Welfare Benefits caseworker with a good level of technical knowledge who is looking to develop skills in managing and supervising others, and support holistic service delivery in related advice areas.

Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential for this role, along with a solution-focused approach and an understanding of the importance of motivating individuals to succeed. A positive approach to leading a team and working with others to achieve wider organisational goals is essential.
