About the role

About the role

The infected blood scandal has had a devastating, lifelong impact on thousands of people. For those affected in the East Midlands, we are looking for a compassionate and resilient individual to act as their trusted guide and advocate.

As a Regional Navigator, your job is to chart a course for people through incredibly complex challenges. You will be their single, consistent point of contact, helping them navigate a system that can be overwhelming.

Your work will be a unique blend of practical support, compassionate guidance and community building. One day you might be providing advice on welfare benefits or housing, the next you could be liaising with our specialist multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care, and another day you might be helping to establish a peer support group for those affected to connect with each other.

About you

This role requires a combination of heart and head. You might be the right person if:

You are an exceptional listener, able to communicate with deep empathy and patience, especially when discussing sensitive and traumatic experiences.

You are a natural problem-solver, able to research and understand complex information to find practical, real-world solutions for people.

You are emotionally resilient, with the ability to manage difficult conversations and be a calm, steady presence for people in distress.

You have experience working with vulnerable people, perhaps in a healthcare, social care or advice setting.

Direct experience in providing formal advice is not essential. What matters most is your aptitude and attitude. We will provide a comprehensive, in-house training programme to give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to excel.

This is demanding work, but you will be fully supported. You will work as a key part of a dedicated team and have the autonomy to make a real difference to a community that needs it.
