About the role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Financial Capability Adviser to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in client services with the ability to plan, deliver and facilitate basic financial education to help people make better budgeting, borrowing, saving and banking decisions. This role involves helping clients achieve better financial management before they would reach crisis point.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and deliver basic financial education to clients through community groups and as one-to-one sessions

- Collaborate with other professionals and key contacts to help publicise and host financial capability sessions across the New Forest

- Record and report on the delivery numbers and outcomes for clients in line with the targets of the project

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups, referring clients into the wider Citizens Advice service as needed

- Record, update and maintain information on a case management system for the purpose of continuity of client casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring and report preparation

- Stay updated with legislation, regulatory developments, policies and procedures relating to financial capability advice and undertake appropriate training to provide informed, relevant and up to date information to clients
